Eight MLB Sluggers Set to Compete for $100,000

The field is set for the 2023 T-Mobile Home Run Derby, which will take place on Monday night at Seattle's T-Mobile Park, home of the Mariners. The event will feature eight of Major League Baseball's top sluggers competing for a $100,000 prize.
The bracket and first-round matchups for the 2023 Home Run Derby were revealed on Wednesday. The eight participants are:
- Ronald Acuña Jr., Atlanta Braves
- Pete Alonso, New York Mets
- Julio RodrÃguez, Seattle Mariners
- Kyle Schwarber, Philadelphia Phillies
- Juan Soto, San Diego Padres
- Albert Pujols, St. Louis Cardinals
- Corey Seager, Texas Rangers
- Jeremy Peña, Houston Astros
The first round of the Home Run Derby will be a single-elimination bracket, with the top four finishers advancing to the semifinals. The semifinals and finals will be a double-elimination bracket, with the winner taking home the $100,000 prize.
The 2023 Home Run Derby is sure to be an exciting event, with some of the biggest names in baseball competing for the title of champion.
