Chery's New Crossover Set for Russian Release: Jaecoo J6 Receives OTTS
Chinese automaker Chery is preparing to launch another crossover in the Russian market, the Jaecoo J6.
The company has recently received the Vehicle Type Approval (OTTS) certification, indicating that the model has passed Russian safety and environmental standards.
The Jaecoo J6 is a compact crossover that slots between the Tiggo 4 and Tiggo 7 Pro in Chery's lineup. It features a modern design with a distinctive grille and sleek headlights. The interior is spacious and well-equipped, with a large touchscreen infotainment system and a panoramic sunroof.
The Jaecoo J6 will be powered by a 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engine producing 126 horsepower and 160 Nm of torque. It will be mated to a CVT transmission and will be available with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
Chery has not yet announced the pricing or release date for the Jaecoo J6 in Russia. However, it is expected to be priced competitively and to go on sale later this year.
The addition of the Jaecoo J6 to Chery's lineup will further strengthen the company's position in the Russian market. Chery is one of the most popular Chinese automakers in Russia, and its sales have been growing steadily in recent years.
The Jaecoo J6 is a promising addition to the compact crossover segment, and it is likely to be a popular choice for Russian consumers.
